It often doesn't have a direct commercial outlet, but Gethin's more creative photographic output often feeds back into his design work. It also has been used by interior design company Natural Habitat for several projects around New South Wales.

Gethin won the digital section of the Bellingen Art Prize for his image Grief, phase 3.

It main function is to keep the creative juices flowing, something that can only help to keep the design fresh and interesting.
